Real Madrid are world champions!
The Blancos found their rhythm early on, immediately putting pressure on Al Hilal’s backline from all sides.
Their efforts paid off when Vinicius Junior opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Only five minutes later, Federico Valverde doubled Real Madrid’s lead with a brilliant low shot from inside the box.
However, Al Hilal came back into the game quickly, making it 2-1 through Moussa Marega in the 26th minute. The thrilling first half ended with Real Madrid slowing down the pace of the game. But they soon regained their momentum after the break.
Only nine minutes into the second half, Karim Benzema converted Vinicius Jr’s assist to score his side’s third goal of the night. Four minutes later, Valverde completed his brace to make it 4-1 for the Blancos.
The goal seemed to have secured Real Madrid’s win, but Al Hilal didn’t stop attacking and scored another one through Luciano Vietto.
The UEFA Champions League winners went on the offensive again and scored their fifth goal of the night through Vinicius. The Brazilian completed his wonderful performance by slotting a low shot into the far corner of the net.
Vietto completed his brace when he made it 5-3 in the 79th minute. But Al Hilal’s attacks in the final ten minutes weren’t enough to get them back into the game.
After celebrating their fifth Club World Cup title, the Blancos will return to La Liga to meet Elche on Wednesday.
