Real Madrid reclaimed their spot at the top of the La Liga table with another home win.

Real Madrid defeated Mallorca 4-1 in their La Liga game on Sunday. Another comeback saw the Blancos claim their eighth consecutive win across all competitions.

A second-half riot!

Real Madrid established their dominance over possession early on but failed to create chances due to Mallorca’s brilliant pressing.

Mallorca then shocked the hosts by scoring the opener through Vedat Muriqi in the 35th minute.

However, Real Madrid managed to make it 1-1 just before halftime. Federico Valverde cut inside behind the box before unleashing a stunner into the top-left corner of the net.

The Blancos continued their attacks as soon as the second period started. However, they had to wait until the 72nd minute to complete their comeback.

Following an assist from Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior made it 2-1 as Mallorca’s defence looked more and more exhausted.

Rodrygo stepped up again to secure the victory by scoring a brilliant solo goal in the 89th minute. Antonio Rudiger then put the icing on the cake by making it 4-1 during the extra time.

Having collected 15 points from their first five matches of the season, Real Madrid return to the top of the La Liga table.

The Blancos will host RB Leipzig in their next Champions League game on Wednesday.
