Real Madrid secured a great victory to get back on top of the La Liga table.

Real Madrid defeated Granada with a 4-1 result in their La Liga match on Sunday. The Blancos climbed past Sevilla to secure the league’s top spot as they bagged the three points at Los Carmenes Stadium.

Vinicius strikes again!

Real Madrid did not make a good start to the match as the hosts surprised them with a few swift counter-attacks. However, the Blancos soon found their rhythm and broke the deadlock through Marco Asensio in the 19th minute. Less than six minutes later, Nacho doubled his side’s lead after a stunning piece of buildup.

Granada came back into the game by scoring their first goal in the 34th minute. However, it was not enough to keep Real Madrid at bay in the second half.

Vinicius scored his eighth La Liga goal of the season four minutes before the hour-mark as he completed his impressive performance. An inch-perfect through ball from Casemiro provided the assist for the next goal of the night. Ferland Mendy smashed a low shot into the back of the net in the 76th minute to make it 4-1 for the guests.

Real Madrid reclaimed their position on top of the table with 30 points from their 13 matches. On the other hand, Granada slipped to the relegation zone as they suffered their second victory in a row.
