Following missed chances from Vinicius Junior and David Alaba, Real Madrid finally opened the scoring through Federico Valverde in the 80th minute.

Following an assist from Vinicius, the Uruguayan broke the deadlock with a sublime finish from inside the box.

Leipzig tried to come back into the game in the final ten minutes. But that only created more space for Real Madrid attackers.

Taking a free-kick, Toni Kroos provided a short pass for Marco Asensio from the left flank. The Spaniard then rifled the ball past Peter Gulacsi with an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box.

Having won all of their matches so far this season, the Blancos will now prepare to face Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
