The Blancos secured an easy home win to reclaim the top of the La Liga table.

Real Madrid defeated Granada 2-0 in their La Liga game on Saturday. The Blancos didn’t seem to be affected by their injury crisis as they cruised past Granada with two goals.

What happened?

Real Madrid struggled to create enough clear-cut chances early on, but Granada’s compact defensive structure was gradually opened up as the first period went on.

The hosts finally broke the deadlock when Toni Kroos’ stunning through ball found Brahim Diaz inside the box. The striker then calmly converted the one-on-one situation into Real Madrid’s opening goal with a precise low shot into the far corner of the net.

Real Madrid continued their dominance after the break, doubling their lead only 12 minutes into the second half. This time, Rodrygo smashed a rebound from Jude Bellingham’s shot to make it 2-0 for the hosts.

The Blancos maintained the pressure on Granada’s backline to increase their lead in the final ten minutes but failed to convert their chances.
