Real Sociedad held Real Madrid to a goalless draw in their La Liga game on Sunday. An incredible performance from Sociedad’s goalkeeper and defenders kept the Blancos at bay for 90 minutes.

Missed chances from Alexander Sorloth and Asier Illarramendi saw the visitors come close to scoring twice. But then Real Madrid bounced back to create a host of dangerous goalscoring opportunities before the break.
Vinicius Junior, who was central to Real Madrid’s attacks throughout the first period, continued haunting Sociedad’s backline in the second half.
However, a number of incredible saves from Alex Remiro prevented the Blancos from finding the back of the net. Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos came millimetres away from snatching the match-winner but failed to convert their opportunities.
The goalless draw sees Barcelona go five points clear at the top of the La Liga table. The Blancos will rest until the next Sunday when they take on Mallorca.
