The Arsenal defender has enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Spanish side this season.
Hector Bellerin will return to Arsenal after the end of his loan spell, confirms Real Betis president Angel Haro.
Bellerin moved to Betis on a loan deal last summer, with Arsenal signing Takehiro Tomiyasu to replace him in their squad.
It turned out to be a good deal for both players. Bellerin revived his best form in La Liga, while Tomiyasu established himself as a crucial player in the Gunners’ backline.
However, Bellerin won’t be able to continue his spell at Betis beyond this summer.
“Hector is a fanatic player and a very good person,” Betis President told reporters. “It was a loan that we had from Arsenal, now he returns to Arsenal and from then on, we’ll see.
“It is true that he has been very caught up in everything about Betis because, in addition, his parents are Betis fans. Hopefully we cross paths again.”
Bellerin has made 32 appearances for Betis, helping them win the Copa del Rey. The Spaniard has also been a regular starter for the Green and Whites in their La Liga campaign, where they are pushing for a top-four spot.
Back in London, serious competition from Tomiyasu awaits Bellerin ahead of the next season. Let’s see if the Spaniard will return to the Emirates or seek a move away from the club in the upcoming transfer window.
