A narrow win in Spain was enough to send United to Europa League’s next round.

Manchester United defeated Real Betis in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie on Thursday. Erik ten Hag’s side keep their European hopes alive with a 5-1 victory on aggregate.

Rashford strikes again!

Betis found a solid start to the game as they pushed to mount a comeback at their home stadium. Joaquin unleashed an unstoppable shot from long range, but the post stopped the ball from going in.

As the first half went on, Man Utd gradually found their feet in the game. But Erik ten Hag’s men had to wait until the 55th minute to break the deadlock.

Following an assist from Casemiro, Marcus Rashford made it 1-0 for the visitors with a sublime low shot from 25 yards out. The goal ended Betis’ hopes for a comeback as Ten Hag made a number of changes to his lineup.

The Red Devils remained in charge of the game until the end but failed to extend their lead at Benito Villamarin.
