Let’s take a look at the RB Salzburg vs Bayern Munich player ratings of this UEFA Champions League match at Red Bull Arena

Bayern Munich had a complicated visit to RB Salzburg today for the third UEFA Champions League match of the season. Initially, the German giants weren’t fortunate as they got scored on by Berisha early in the game. But the well-oiled machine that is Bayern Munich wasn’t’ going to let the Austrian club get away with it.

Not soon after the first goal, Thomas Muller was taken down inside the box and allowed Lewandowski to open his personal account through a penalty. Unfortunately for Salzburg, Kristensen scored an own goal right before the break. This tampered with their intentions to defeat the reigning champions in Europe for the first time in over a year. Regardless of this setback, the locals never gave up on their convictions.

Bayern’s unexpected goal fest.

After the break, Japanese midfielder Masaya Okugawa got on the pitch and scored the equalizer after one minute on the pitch. But this false sense of hope didn’t last long, it only got worse as time went by. The visitors only needed the last ten minutes of the match to turn everything around in their favor. Jerome Boateng started the reaction with a corner-kick sent to the heart of the box by Joshua Kimmich that he connected with a header.

Leroy Sane scored the fourth after only eight minutes on the pitch, it was a beautiful solo effort. Lewandowski got his brace with another header. And finally, Lucas Hernandez scored his first-ever goal for Bayern with a potent strike to leave the final result in a 2-6 win for his side. Another day, another demolition for Bayern Munich. That is nine out of nine points with 12 goals in favor and only 3 against them.
