The Reds will be determined to win the tie to advance in this competition, having been eliminated from contention in all other competitions.

The Champions League returns on Tuesday with two electrifying clashes: FC Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain & RB Leipzig vs Liverpool.

Here, we cover the latter which takes place at the Puskas Arena in the Hungarian capital Budapest. The first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie is scheduled to kick-off at 8 PM GMT.

The Bundesliga outfit booked their place in the Last-16 on the final Group Stage matchday by beating Manchester United. The Premier League champions, meanwhile, progressed past the group stages by finishing as Group D toppers.

RB Leipzig vs Liverpool Form:

Die Roten Bullen have won each of their last four matches, with their latest win coming against Augsburg in Bundesliga. They are keeping pressure on Bayern Munich in the title race, and look set to finish as runners-up in Bundesliga for the second year in succession.

Also, they have suffered defeat just twice in 13 games, recording nine clean sheets, across all competitions ever since the win over Manchester United.

The German side’s defensive record in the Champions League, though, is something to worry about. So far, they have conceded 12 goals – the worst record of any team left in the competition.

The Reds, meanwhile, have faced defeat in each of their last three fixtures. Furthermore, they have managed just three wins in their last 12 matches in all competitions.

A significant drop in standards has been witnessed by Jurgen Klopp’s side lately but they will be determined to go as far as they can in this competition, having been eliminated from contention in all other competitions.

The six-time European champions boast great pedigree in the Champions League while the sports arm of an energy drink behemoth are relatively exceedingly inexperienced.
