A long-running transfer saga is reaching its conclusion, with the former Man City man getting closer and closer to returning to England.

Marcus Rashford appears to have confirmed Jadon Sancho’s imminent move to Manchester United with a one-word response on Twitter.

Manchester United are closer than ever to signing Sancho, with several reliable sources claiming the deal is almost complete.

A deal worth £77 million (€89.46m) is expected to be finalized between United and Borussia Dortmund. The two parties have long been in negotiations over the transfer fee and the structure of the payment, and the Red Devils’ two initial bids were rejected.

In response to a Twitter user asking him to “announce Sancho”, Rashford simply said: “Yes x.”

Rashford and Sancho both are currently on international duty with England at Euro 2020. The former has made three appearances off the bench while the latter is yet to play a single minute.

England progressed to the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 after beating Germany 2-0 on Tuesday. Gareth Southgate’s men will now face Ukraine, who narrowly edged past Sweden in the Round of 16.
