The German midfielder hopes he can continue playing alongside the Spanish defender for “many more years” at Real Madrid.

Toni Kroos and Sergio Ramos have built up two of the most glittering CVs in world football during their time together at Real Madrid.

Ramos has been at Real Madrid for almost two decades now, having joined the club from Sevilla for €27 million back in 2005. Kroos, meanwhile, arrived at the Spanish capital from Bayern Munich in 2014 for an economical fee of €24 million.

Two of the most influential players for Los Blancos in their recent history, the pair have won 13 major honors together including three Champions League and two La Liga titles.

It seems, however, the time has finally come for them to part ways with each other as Ramos, whose current contract runs out at the end of the month, appears to be on the way out of the club.

“I don’t know how things are going with the club, I think he has 20 more days on his contract,” said Kroos, as Mundo Deportivo reports.

“We don’t have to talk about the importance Sergio has for Real Madrid. I can only say that I have enjoyed a lot with him in these eight years and I hope to have many more years with him.

“Ramos has always been a great teammate and a great captain, he has been the best captain I have ever had in my career”.
