Stuck on the sidelines, the former Real Madrid defender is yet to wear the colors of his new club.

Sergio Ramos’ Paris Saint-Germain debut date remains a puzzle for Mauricio Pochettino, who “doesn’t have any details on when he will be available.”

Ramos put an end to his 16-year-long association with Real Madrid and joined forces with Paris Saint-Germain over the summer.

The illustrious center-back passed his medical back in July with flying colors, but his fitness has been a cause of concern ever since. It was initially expected he would make his first appearance for PSG after the international break, but his debut continues to be delayed.

It has been over four months since the Spaniard has stepped onto the pitch, with his last appearance coming against Chelsea in the Champions League semi-final back on May 5.

“I don’t have any details on when he will be available,” Pochettino told reporters ahead of Sunday’s Ligue 1 meeting with Lyon, per Goal.

“We hope he will be available soon. He is well individually, he is calm and continues his preparation.

“We hope that he can play quickly and it is important that he can return to a good level, equal to that of his team-mates.”
