Out of the many headlines he offered in his conversation with Ibai Llanos, Sergio Ramos picked between Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.
We all know Real Madrid is going to have to pick between Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe next summer. All of the club’s supporters consider these two players as the only options to choose as their new franchise player. Mbappe is arguably the favorite out of the two, but Haaland is currently delivering better numbers than the Frenchman. We still hadn’t heard anything about the topic from Real Madrid’s captain, Sergio Ramos. He was happy to answer the question during the liver Twitch stream with Ibai Llanos.
Keep in mind that Ramos has inside information about Florentino Perez’s deals and what the club really wants. With that in mind, Sergio said the following: “I would like them both to come, but if one of them were to come, it would be easier to sign Haaland. With Mbappe the economic circumstances are more difficult. Haaland wouldn’t be bad because of his hunger for goals, his size, his speed… It would be easier to reach an agreement for Haaland.”
Who has the better chance to play at Real Madrid?
From a business perspective, there’s no question that Ramos raises a great point. Erling Haaland is an easier target due to the financial moment all clubs are going through. PSG doesn’t really need to sell any of their players and Mbappe would ask for a massive payday. Haaland is only 20 years old and he would be less expensive than Kylian right now. But Joan Laporta’s arrival to Barcelona makes Haaland’s arrival more complicated.
As we’ve said before, the Blaugranas’ president has a fantastic relationship with Mino Raiola (Haaland’s agent). Whereas Florentino Perez can’t stand the sight of him. Everything will depend on what Leo Messi does. If he leaves Barcelona, major shifts will happen in some of the greatest clubs in the world. If you were Florentino Perez, who would you pick between these two young stars?
