After his knee surgery, we still had to hear from Sergio Ramos and what he had to say about the whole situation. He wrote to the fans.

Sergio Ramos finally broke his silence after the knee surgery he underwent last week in Madrid. As it turns out, the star defender had been struggling to find his best form in recent months because he carried a chronic problem on his knee. Initially, he attempted to play with the pain but it started to hinder his level of performance. For Sergio Ramos, playing at the top of his skills is the most important aspect of his professional career.

There are reports of the Real Madrid captain playing under pain medication in recent games but he couldn’t take it anymore. After the surgery, it was also reported that he will be out of the game for at least six weeks. This means that he will miss the Champions League games against Atalanta. With all of this under scrutiny, the skipper felt the need to break his silence and talk about the decision he made.

Ramos explains why he got surgery.

“Hi everyone! Everything is going as planned,” Ramos tweeted on his official account. “Mind already on getting back to work and back on the pitch ASAP. Thanks so much for all your messages and support. In the end, I had to undergo surgery. No one likes to be in that situation but, thanks to God, everything has turned out great.”It was on medical advice and I had no other option.

“I just wanted to say that I’m happy with how everything has turned out and that I’ll try get back as soon as possible to help the team because there’s still a long way to go this season. I also want to thank Dr. Leyes and all his team for the excellent treatment and job during the operation. And how can I not thank all of you for those messages of such affection that have touched my heart and pushed me to come back stronger.”
