Let’s talk about the big news of the day as PSG confirmed their top priority is not signing Sergio Ramos for the 2021-22 season.

We recently found out about PSG possibly going after Sergio Ramos in 2021. The Real Madrid defender’s contract is set to expire during the month of June and he can technically leave for free in January. A situation that leaves president Florentino Perez against the wall, he needs to make Ramos an offer before the end of the year.

In light of all these events, we just got new information on the matter that might change everything. Sergio Ramos might not be on the way out of Real Madrid so quickly after all. In fact, it is believed that Los Blancos are certain they will reach an agreement with the player for a specific reason.

On Monday, the club made a fresh offer to Ramos for two seasons and the exact same salary he is earning right now. We will find out about his response in the following week but the club is very confident. There’s an ace under their sleeve that nobody has been counting on.

PSG’s top priority right now.

According to Goal, PSG is not going after Sergio Ramos as their top priority for a very compelling reason. As we all know, the French giants have both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe ending their current contracts in 2022. This means that they either need to sign new deals, or PSG should sell them in the next summer transfer window. Mbappe’s situation seems more pressing than the Brazilian due to Real Madrid’s interest in the French forward.

But FC Barcelona won’t give up on getting Neymar back as PSG will try to convince the player to sign an extension. Both players’ situations leave Ramos below the French club’s list of priorities. Even though he is important for any club, the other two players are far more pressing matters at the moment.
