Neymar might be forced to miss matches against Nantes, Rennes, and Leipzig as remains unavailable for the next ‘few games’ for PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain grabbed their first three points of this Champions League campaign in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Istanbul Basaksehir.

Moise Kean and Kylian Mbappe were the standout performers of the night as the former got a brace with the latter setting up both his goals.

Not everything was rose-colored in Turkey for the French champions, however, as they lost their star man, Neymar, halfway through the first-half through injury.

The Brazilian forward was seen signaling for substitution near the 25-minute mark after feeling discomfort in his left thigh and was shortly replaced by Pablo Sarabia.

Neymar has already missed a few of the matches this season due to coronavirus and disciplinary issues, and Thomas Tuchel informs the player now faces another spell on the sidelines.

Tuchel told RMC Sport, via Goal: “It was necessary to take him off. We now have to wait for a diagnosis. It was not serious pain, but he felt uncomfortable.

“Because of the tight schedule, it might cost him a few games, though I cannot be sure at this point.

“It is the adductor muscle. I hope it’s not too bad an injury. We have to wait for the tests tomorrow.”

PSG play against Nantes and Rennes in Ligue 1 and RB Leipzig in the Champions League in the next ten days, and Neymar could remain unavailable for all three games.
