The Parisians have confirmed another positive COVID-19 test ahead of the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Alessandro Florenzi has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now unavailable for Paris Saint-Germain’s first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Bayern Munich.
After returning a positive result during the club’s latest round of medical checks, Florenzi won’t travel to Germany. He has instead joined Marco Verratti, who tested positive for a second time last week, in quarantine.
Following a COVID test, Alessandro Florenzi is confirmed positive.
He will therefore enter isolation and is subject to the appropriate health protocol. As a reminder, the player had been in isolation for a few days as a precaution.

“Following a COVID test, Alessandro Florenzi is confirmed positive,” read a club statement.
“He will therefore respect isolation and is subject to the appropriate health protocols. As a reminder, the player had been in isolation for a few days as a precaution.”
As noted by PSG, Florenzi has already spent a few of the required 10 days in self-isolation. So if the Italian full-back posts a negative result in his next COVID-19 test, he may return to training by next week.
PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino could also be without Pablo Sarabia, Mauro Icardi, and Layvin Kurzawa on Wednesday.
