The Brazil legend believes Mbappe will stay at PSG ‘for a long time’.

Kylian Mbappe’s transfer saga reaches its critical stages, with the Frenchman spending the last months of his current contract.

Real Madrid have been eyeing a move for the PSG striker for a long time. The Spanish giants were close to finalizing a deal last summer, but Mbappe ended up staying at Parc des Princes. The Blancos will most likely restart their efforts next summer, but Ronaldinho believes Mbappe will renew his PSG deal.

Speaking to PSG’s official Youtube channel, the Brazil great said: “All the players in the world want to play at Paris Saint-Germain, the best in the world are at PSG, so they’re the best club in the world.

“So I imagine he [Mbappe] will be here for a long time.”

Just like PSG, Mbappe is yet to win his first Champions League trophy. When asked about the 23-year-old’s chances of winning the trophy at PSG, Ronaldinho responded: “Today, Paris Saint-Germain is a world benchmark. It would be great for his career, he is so young and has already achieved so many things.

“I think the Champions League is something that he is missing. And it would be wonderful if he won it with Paris Saint-Germain.

“Everyone imagines that they have a chance to win the Champions League, because of the group of players they have.”

Mbappe publicly expressed his disappointment over the failed transfer to Real Madrid. PSG are still working hard to tie him down to a new contract. However, reaching an agreement with the Frenchman does not seem to be easy. He can start his negotiations with Real Madrid from February, which will most likely put PSG in a worse position.
