The Portuguese superstar is without a club after agreeing to terminate his Manchester United contract.
Paris Saint-Germain will not sign Cristiano Ronaldo this winter, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi confirms.
Following a controversial interview, Ronaldo left Old Trafford to start a new challenge after the World Cup. However, as we approach the winter transfer window, he is yet to reach an agreement with a new side.
PSG‘s name has come up as a possible destination for CR7, with fans hoping to finally see the 37-year-old play alongside Lionel Messi.
However, Al-Khelaifi has ruled out a move for the former Man Utd star.
Speaking to Sky News, he said: “The three players that we have [Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe], it’s very difficult, but I wish him all the best. He’s fantastic and he’s still an amazing player.”
Prior to Al- Khelaifi, Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn had ruled out a move for Ronaldo. This leaves CR7 with limited offers from MLS and Saudi Pro League.
A mega offer arrived for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner from Al Nassr last week. However, Ronaldo denied the reports that claimed he had reached an agreement with the Saudi side.
Let’s see if a European side will step in and sign Ronaldo for the second half of the season in the coming weeks.
