Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will team up at Paris Saint Germain next year with Pep Guardiola as their coach, claims Fabrice Pancrate.

The 8-2 bashing at the hands of Bayern Munich in Champions League quarter-finals triggered a series of events at FC Barcelona.

Head coach Quique Setien was sacked, club legend Ronald Koeman took his place, the new boss then deemed a number of players surplus to his requirements, and, the one that grabbed the majority of the attention, Lionel Messi supposedly made up his mind to quit the club.

Messi’s immutable decision was driven by the lack of a proper structure at Barca, which hindered the team’s chances of success.

Manchester City are understood to be the leading contenders to sign the six-time Ballon d’Or winner while Paris Saint Germain are also rumored to have contacted the player’s father to discuss his future.

In other news, Cristiano Ronaldo was also loosely linked with a move to PSG in the recent past. Reports claimed that Ronaldo was keen on forming a deadly attacking partnership with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe after having left dissatisfied with his side’s progress in the Champions League.

A former PSG player claims that the French giants are indeed preparing to sign both the superstars as they look to build a ‘dream team’ by 2021.

“I’ll tell you what I think. Beyond the city itself – because Manchester is ugly, it’s grey, it’s raining – there are plenty of things that make me say that Messi is going to Paris,” Fabrice Pancrate told Le Parisien.

“And Ronaldo will join him in 2021. And Guardiola too. And there, the slogan of PSG – ‘let’s dream bigger’ – it makes perfect sense!

“It would be the first team in the world to bring together four aliens: Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, Mbappe. With a crazy coach. Can you imagine this dream team? It would just be grandiose.”
