The PSG chief has admitted he is not satisfied with the outcome of the summer move.

Sergio Ramos ended his 16-year stay at Real Madrid to join Paris Saint Germain as a free agent in June 2021. However, his time at the club has been hampered with several injury setbacks.

The Spanish defender has featured in only five games across all competitions since joining the club. A few months ago, a few media outlets in France reported PSG might even consider terminating Ramos’ contract.

At the time, Leonardo dismissed the rumours, but he has now confirmed the club are not satisfied with the outcome of Ramos’ transfer.

He told L’Equipe“We signed him and he was physically fine. But as of today, he has only played five games.

“Unfortunately, what we imagined of him at our club did not happen. It is difficult for him, for everyone.

He added: “Not playing makes it difficult for him to be a leader. We will wait before drawing conclusions, the season is not over.

“But I am not afraid to take responsibility for mistakes when I make them.

“Nasser gives me total confidence. It gives me real autonomy and for that I thank the club.”

Ramos missed his side’s training session ahead of their upcoming game against Nice. He will most likely miss the second leg of PSG’s Champions League last-16 tie against Real Madrid too.
