According to latest reports, Paris Saint-Germain are seeking to sign Rafinha from Barcelona before the transfer window shuts.

Rafinha Alcántara is one of the players that Ronald Koeman is not counting on in his plans.

He is currently surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp and the club are open to shipping him off their books.

A few hours before the end of the deadline day, PSG is negotiating the signing of Rafinha.

The speed of negotiations have picked up over the course of recent hours. At the time of writing, both clubs are in advanced talks regarding a transfer.

The terms of the deal promise could be difficult to thrash out though. The deal is pretty much on but time is running out for its completion

As per Goal, Rafinha could complete a late medical with PSG today and sign for the French giants. The fee is rumored to be around €3m. As part of the deal, Barcelona would also get 35 per cent of a possible future sale.

The 27-year-old has been at the Camp Nou side since his teenage years but injuries never let him reach his full potential at the club.

Rafinha has spent much of the last two years away on loan, first at Inter in Serie A then at Celta Vigo.

Last term, he managed 29 La Liga appearances and returned four goals.

The next stage for Rafinha could lie in PSG where there is a big need for an attacking midfielder at the moment.
