The Parisians comfortably have one leg in the quarter-finals, having secured a resounding 4-1 victory back at the Camp Nou.

Paris Saint-Germain have ruled Neymar out of the Champions League clash with FC Barcelona on Wednesday.

Neymar has been on the sidelines since last month due to an adductor injury he suffered during the 1-0 French Cup win over Caen.

The Brazilian forward has missed the previous six fixtures for his side. He also missed the reunion with his former team when PSG paid a visit to Barcelona for the Champions League Round of 16 first-leg.

As important as the upcoming match is, the superstar is unlikely to be missed.

Kylian Mbappe hit a hat-trick while Moise Kean also got on the scoresheet on February 16 back at Camp Nou, and the French champions have a healthy lead going into the second-leg.

PSG’s medical update read: “Neymar JR resumed partial training with the squad last week and will continue his individual recovery work.

“A new assessment will be made in the coming days.”

On other absentees, the report stated: “Sergio Rico is not participating in training this morning for personal reasons.

“Juan Bernat continues his rehabilitation and his personal recovery.

“Moise Kean is still in isolation due to Covid-19.”
