Luis Enrique is eager to add a new forward to his ranks in the near future.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is reportedly eyeing a surprise transfer move for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes.

In recent years, the relationship between PSG and Real Madrid has deteriorated significantly. While PSG appeared to have more issues with FC Barcelona in the past, their grievances have now extended to the Madrid-based club. This friction escalated due to various disputes, especially those related to the future of Kylian Mbappé.

While Real Madrid continues to hope for the acquisition of Mbappé in the near future, PSG has allegedly formulated a plan to exact revenge, according to Defensa Central.

The Parisians’ alleged retaliation plan involves pursuing Brazilian forward Rodrygo, who has caught the eye of PSG coach Luis Enrique and the club’s hierarchy.

Rodrygo is earmarked as a potential replacement for Mbappé due to his versatility and skillset as a playmaker and goal-scorer, making him a valuable addition to PSG.

Last season, Rodrygo made a total of 57 appearances for the Blancos across all competitions, registering 19 goals and 11 assists. The 22-year-old has developed into a reliable striker in recent seasons but signing him won’t be easy for the Parisians.

Real Madrid seems resolute in retaining the talented forward. With a staggering €1 billion release clause, PSG faces an uphill battle to secure Rodrygo’s services. The power balance appears to favor Real Madrid, both in the Rodrygo saga and the ongoing Mbappé transfer saga.
