The Parisians could sack the French manager ahead of the next season.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering a move for Julian Nagelsmann as Christophe Galtier’s replacement.

A shock decision from Bayern Munich’s hierarchy saw Nagelsmann leave Allianz Arena mid-season. However, the sacking has done little to damage the young coach’s reputation.

Tottenham were the first club to enter negotiations with Nagelsmann. But the former RB Leipzig coach rejected the Spurs’ offer. It seems the German boss is now emerging as a serious option for PSG.

According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG have held internal discussions over a possible move for Nagelsmann. However, they are yet to make a final decision to hire the German 35-year-old.

Galtier took charge at PSG after their blockbuster transfer window last summer. The former Lille boss led the Parisians to their 11th league title last season. However, PSG’s inconsistent displays have cast doubts over his future at Parc des Princes.

“I deserve a second season at Paris Saint-Germain,” Galtier said of his future in a press conference last week.

“I repeat it once again because no one wants to hear it but it was a very special season. We had to stay the course even when we thought everyone had their heads under water.

“I pay tribute to my players who have not given up. I am very happy and I don’t want us to trivialize [this title win]!”
