The Parisians defeated their Italian opponents with a dominant display.
Paris Saint-Germain defeated AC Milan 3-0 in their Champions League game on Wednesday. The Parisians bounced back from their defeat against Newcastle with a promising home win.
What happened?
PSG completely dominated the first half of the game as Milan tried to escape the pressure through quick counter-attacks. The hosts, however, managed to make it 1-0 through Kylian Mbappe in the 32nd minute. The France international smashed a low shot into the back of the net to break the deadlock at Parc des Princes.
Milan made a few attempts to get back into the game after the break, but it was PSG who doubled their lead in the 53rd minute through Randal Kolo Muani. The goal forced Milan to put more bodies forward, but the Rossoneri failed to score despite creating a number of serious chances.
PSG finally completed their victory when Lee Kang-in slotted Warren Zaïre-Emery’s perfect assist into the corner of the net in the 89th minute.
The victory sent PSG to the top of the Group F table with six points. Elsewhere in the group, Newcastle suffered a 1-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund to slip to the third spot.
