It’s time to determine the player ratings of the PSG vs Manchester United match at Parc des Princes in the city of Paris, France.

Parc des Princes opened its doors this evening for the PSG vs Manchester United Champions League group stage match. The last time the Red Devils visited Paris, they eliminated the Ligue 1 champions in the Round of 16 two years ago. It’s safe to say this is the most expected game of this week’s Champions League opening day.

Contrary to previous seasons, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad responded well to the challenge as they made it hard for Tuchel’s squad to get a good result. In fact, Bruno Fernandes scored the opening goal after a penalty that Mateu Lahoz decided to repeat when Keylor Navas broke the rules.

As the half-time whistle was sounded, United had that initial advantage but PSG was coming to get the equalizer in the second half. We were about to experience one of the most competitive Champions League games we’ve seen in a long time.

Rashford and Wan-Bissaka save United.

In a match as balanced as this one at Parc des Princes, defensive performances tend to be the major highlight. Aaron Wan-Bissaka confirmed his great moment with a dominant showcase against both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. He also had some important assists from a stellar David De Gea, who made some important saves against the two PSG stars as well.

Anthony Martial had the forgettable moment of the evening with an own goal after a corner kick taken by Neymar. After the equalizer, this game could’ve gone to any of both sides as they had their crucial chances. Keylor Navas also had some important moments during the second half that kept his teammates motivated until the key moment of the match.

Only a brilliant goal could decide this game. Marcus Rashford scored the winner near the end of the match and repeated what he did during his previous visit to Parc des Princes. The first UEFA Champions League great game didn’t disappoint.
