With elite Premier League sides making statement signings in their front lines, we are preparing to see a close battle for the next season’s Golden Boot.

The 2021-22 Premier League campaign ended with Mohamed Salah claiming his third Golden Boot in the English top-flight.

The Egyptian star shared the prize with Son Heung-Min, who secured his first top-scorer award by registering 23 goals.

Both players will be among the top contenders for the next campaign’s Golden Boot award. But they must prepare to compete against a few outstanding newcomers this season.

5- Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo scored 18 goals in his 30 league appearances for the Red Devils. Despite Man United’s struggles, the Portuguese superstar managed to keep up his excellent form, scoring several decisive goals for his side.

The future of Ronaldo is not clear at Old Trafford. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has reportedly asked the club to consider selling him to another club ahead of the next season.

But that has not convinced the bookmakers to not consider the 37-year-old’s among their top favourites to win the 2022-23 Golden Boot.

Bet365 backs Ronaldo to win the next season’s Golden Boot at 10/1 (9.1%).

4- Son Heung-Min

Son spent a wonderful season under Antonio Conte last season and managed to cover for Harry Kane’s unimpressive start to the season.

The South Korean’s contribution was a key factor in the Spurs’ top-four finish. He won his first Premier League Golden Boot after scoring 23 goals and providing nine assists in 35 league appearances.

The 29-year-old is priced at 10/1 (9.1%) to repeat his success next season.

3- Harry Kane

Kane came into the last season on the back of his incredible stats during the 2020-21 campaign. A Golden Boot-winning season saw England’s captain clinch his third top-scorer award in the Premier League.

However, the 28-year-old struggled hard to find his best form under Antonio Conte. However, he managed to follow his underwhelming start with a string of brilliant performances in the second half of the season.

There’s no surprise that Kane is back among the top favourites to snatch the next campaign’s Golden Boot award. Bet365 backs the experienced forward to win the prize at 6/1 (14.3%).

2- Mohamed Salah

Salah came too close to perfection last season with Liverpool as they pushed to claim a historic quadruple.

The Reds finished the season with FA Cup and Carabao Cup titles, failing in their last steps toward the Champions League and Premier League trophies.

But that didn’t stop Salah from winning a host of prestigious individual awards. In addition to winning the Golden Boot, the Egypt international claimed the FWA and the PFA Player of the Year accolades.

Salah is 9/2 (18.2) to claim his fourth top-scorer prize in the English top-flight next season.

1- Erling Haaland

Haaland is the bookmakers’ favourite contender for the next campaign’s Golden Boot award, and it’s not hard to see why.

The Norwegian goal-machine left Borussia Dortmund with a staggering record of 83 goals and 19 assists in his 87 appearances across all competitions.

Despite struggling for fitness during the last season, the 21-year-old managed to register 20 goals and five assists in 23 Bundesliga games.

Pep Guardiola will have a new striker at his disposal, adding him to an already star-studded attacking line. If Haaland integrates quickly into the Spaniard’s system, it would be hard to stop him from becoming Premier League’s top scorer in his first season in England.

Bet365 backs the Man City star to do so at 7/2 (22.2%).
