Let’s take a look at the final Premier League Golden Boot standings.

Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-min share the Premier League Golden Boot after the final matchday of the 2021-22 season.

Son scored twice in Tottenham’s 5-0 thrashing of Norwich City as Spurs secured Champions League qualification.

Meanwhile, at Anfield, Salah started the game on the bench while he went a goal behind on the Golden Boot standings.

The Egyptian striker came into the game in the second period as Liverpool pushed for a match-winner at Anfield. Salah scored his 23rd goal of the season in the final stages of the game, putting the Reds ahead in the 84th minute.

The goal was not enough to win the Premier League title for Liverpool as City defeated Villa with a sensational comeback.

However, Salah managed to win the third Premier League golden boot of his career after another brilliant campaign at Liverpool.

On the other hand, Son won his first top-scorer prize in the English top-flight. A host of remarkable performances from the South Korean star played a crucial role in Spurs’ top-four finish.

“It’s incredible to have this award,” Son told BBC Sport“I can’t believe it, I got really emotional. I dreamed of it as a child. Literally, it’s in my hands. I can’t believe it.

“Until my goal I was really frustrated that I missed big chances. I told the players I missed the easiest chances and scored one of the toughest tones, but I didn’t give up.

“I wanted to score today. The team helped me a lot at half-time. They wanted to help me, you could see it today.”
