The Premier League awards for the best player, manager, goal, and save have been announced for the month of October 2023.

Player of the Month – Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

Mohamed Salah has clinched the Premier League Player of the Month prize. He now sits alongside Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie as a five-time winner in this category.

In October, Salah scored in all three of Liverpool’s matches. The Egyptian attacker finished with five goals in total. His performances helped Liverpool claim two wins and a draw, keeping them in the thick of the title chase.

Manager of the Month – Ange Postecoglou (Tottenham)

Ange Postecoglou has won the Manager of the Month award for the third time in a row. He won the award in August and September, and now in October. Only three other managers (Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola, and Jurgen Klopp) have won the award in three straight months.

Postecoglou won his prize after leading Tottenham to three wins in three games. Spurs’ run of form kept them at the top of the Premier League in October. Now, as Guardiola’s record of four consecutive awards from 2017/18 is in sight, can Postecoglou win the November award as well?

Goal of the Month – Saman Ghoddos (Brentford)

Saman Ghoddos’ memorable goal for Brentford against Burnley has won him the Budweiser Goal of the Month for October.

In the game, Ghoddos controlled a clearance with his head and then scored from 25 yards away. This is the second time a Brentford player has won this award, with Ivan Toney winning in September 2022. Ghoddos is also the second Iranian player to win the Goal of the Month after Alireza Jahanbakhsh did so for Brighton in January 2020.
