The job is already done for Pep Guardiola’s men but their opponents must avoid defeat if they are to go through on Tuesday night.

Manchester City travel to Estadio do Dragao later tonight to take on FC Porto in the Champions League Group C matchday 5.

The Portuguese hosts lag three points behind their English visitors, ranking second in Group C with nine points. They just need to stop the opponents from scoring more goals than themselves in the upcoming match to book a place in the Last-16, not even that if Olympiakos do not beat Marseille.

With four wins out of four, the Premier League team lack any pressure whatsoever going into the match after having already qualified for the first knockout round.

Porto vs Manchester City Form:

Sergio Conceicao’s men will look to continue their inspiring form going into this bout, having won each of their last five games across all competitions. An impressive 11 goals were scored in the process and just one conceded.

They will also aim to avoid a repeat of their performance in the first leg, having lost 3-0 at the Etihad last month.

The Sky Blues registered an emphatic 5-0 win over Burnley at the weekend. However, they have endured a mixed bag of results early in the Premier League season so far and sit in the bottom half of the table.

And that’s in complete contrast to their continental form. In the Champions League, Guardiola’s side have won each of their four games so far while scoring 10 goals and conceding one in the group stage.

Porto vs Manchester City Head-to-head:

Three wins out of three means Man City maintain a perfect record against their upcoming opponents.

Porto vs Manchester City Team News:

Marko Grujic picked up two yellow cards against Marseille last week and is suspended for Tuesday’s encounter.

Pepe, who’s still nursing a foot problem, is unlikely to feature while Mouhamed Mbaye and Mamadou Loum are also out with injuries.

Guardiola has a fully fit squad at his disposal with Nathan Ake having included in the traveling squad after recovering from a hamstring pull.
