It is time to take a look at the player ratings of the Poland vs Netherlands UEFA Nations League match disputed in Chorzow on Wednesday.

Frank De Boer’s Netherlands had a minor chance to qualify to the UEFA Nations League’s final four against Poland tonight. The Polish also had a chance but Italy had to lose their match against Bosnia. No side had a clue of what was taking place in the other match, which made the game all that more exciting for both sides.

The Netherlands’ manager hasn’t been up to the standard that Ronald Koeman left after becoming FC Barcelona’s manager, but he does need more time to prove he can make the Dutch win. At least he has the upcoming EURO 2021 to prove it, which will happen during the summer that will come next year.

Despite having a slight opportunity this evening, most of us knew that Italy’s opponent was easy compared to this game. Regardless of the scenario, both sides went all-in with their best possible starting elevens.

Jozwiak scores and Wijnaldum responds.

Poland got ahead in the game with a wonderful solo effort from Jozwiak, who ran all through the left side of the pitch towards the box. As he entered to get near the goalkeeper, he cut to the middle and released a finish to the bottom corner with three defenders on him. A magnificent solo effort from the Polish winger during the first half.

The Dutch didn’t respond until the second half through Gini Wijnaldum, who got a penalty called in his favor first. With no VAR, the ref didn’t hesitate to whistle as soon as the Liverpool midfielder dropped to the ground. Memphis Depay scored the equalizer from the spot and gave the game a little more excitement.

Near the final whistle, Wijnaldum appeared to score the winner through a header after a corner kick taken by the Dutch. But as we mentioned earlier, this victory wasn’t enough for the Netherlands to get a place inside the Nations League’s final four.
