Pogba opened up on his love for playing alongside Fernandes and teased a weakness of his Manchester United teammate.
Paul Pogba has said he enjoys playing with Bruno Fernandes, but jokingly teased him for an inability to defend.
Fernandes has developed into a key man in the Manchester United midfield since his arrival in January 2020 from Sporting CP and appears to have helped bring out the best in Pogba.
The former world-record signing has impressed since returning from a hamstring injury last month. His link-up play with Fernandes, in particular, has been a highlight at Old Trafford.
But while Pogba is enjoying their partnership, he couldn’t help but tease his friend over one thing he can’t do in a Red Devils jersey.
“I enjoy playing with Bruno,” Pogba told MUTV. “He’s someone who understands the game and understands the movement that can give you a beautiful pass, he can finish too.
“He’s all over the place, he can do everything really… except defending!
“But really, it’s always a joy to play him, to understand him. He understands me as well, he can take my position,
“I can take his position as well. I think he suits the team, he’s a very dominant influence in our team.”
Pogba and Fernandes will return to action on Sunday evening for a Premier League match against Burnley at Old Trafford.
