Sloppy at the back and out of ideas up front, Solskjaer’s side yet again left the pitch in a melancholic mood on Saturday afternoon.

Paul Pogba was left a frustrated figure following Manchester United’s most recent defeat in the Premier League, admitting that his side “deserved to lose” against Leicester City.

The 4-2 result at the King Power Stadium marked Manchester United’s failure to pick up a win in each of their previous three league outings.

United end matchday eight outside the top four, and things could get even worse for them as they could drop down to sixth place in the league standings should Brentford, who have been punching above their weight so far this season, manage to get the better of Chelsea.

“To be honest we have been having these kind of games for a long time and we have not found the problem. We have conceded easy and stupid goals,” Pogba told Sky Sports post-match (via BBC).

“The fans were going to push and put pressure on us and we need to be more mature and arrogant in a good way by playing our football.

“We need to find the key because we deserved to lose. We need to change something. I don’t know if it is the mindset of the players, I don’t know because it is frustrating.

“If we want to win the title these are the games we need to win even if they are very hard. We need to find the mentality and tactics to win.

“It is everyone from the goalkeeper to the last person on the bench. We have to look as individuals and as a team to fix this.”
