In his latest public statement, Mauricio Pochettino made a fresh transfer verdict about Neymar and Kylian Mbappe during Monday’s presser.

Even though Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are rumored to leave PSG next summer, Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t seem too worried about it. The Argentine manager came to the French club to completely revolutionize the way all players felt. With Thomas Tuchel, many of them believed the club didn’t have much of a chance to get far in the Champions League. But Pochettino brings a whole new attitude amongst all the stars.

This obviously includes Neymar and Mbappe. The Brazilian star just revealed that he has no plans to leave PSG any time soon, hinting at a possible contract extension before the end of the season. Mbappe’s case is slightly more delicate as the young star is currently pursued by Real Madrid and Liverpool. But despite all the attractive offers he may have, Mbappe also hinted at a possible renewal.

Pochettino doesn’t think they will leave.

Given the current situation with the global pandemic, not many players might leave their current clubs. Pochettino seems quite relaxed with his own stars because of their recent statements and he is confident on keeping them for many years. Perhaps Mbappe won’t retire in Paris but he can at least sign for another five seasons. In Neymar’s case, signing a new contract extension pretty much confirms he wants to retire at his current club.

“I believe that Neymar and Mbappe will stay, I have a feeling, and will stay a long time at PSG,” Pochettino told RMC. “And I have no doubts, I am very optimistic. The club is working hard to keep them with us. Ney and Kylian are happy. They are having fun here. I’m not here to comment on Kylian’s words, but I think it was positive that he came out and was honest.”
