It is inevitable that Mauricio Pochettino will eventually be appointed as Real Madrid boss, says former Espanyol midfielder Victor Sanchez.
Victor Sanchez is convinced Mauricio Pochettino will one day end up as Real Madrid manager.
The Argentine has been without a job since he was sacked as Tottenham boss last November.
Pochettino has since expressed his desire to return to the Premier League. However, the 48-year-old continues to be linked with the Real Madrid job.
Los Blancos’ links with the Argentine are long-lasting and go all the way back to Pochettino’s stint as Espanyol boss.
Speaking in an interview back in May, the ex-Spurs boss even revealed that he thought he would replace Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.
Pochettino has never hidden the fact that he is a keen admirer of the Spanish giants and Victor Sanchez sees something happening between both parties in the nearest future.
“He is in the best moment in his career,” Victor Sanchez said of his former coach as quoted by Marca.
“I think he’ll end up coaching Real Madrid at some point, because he’s always liked them a lot.”
“He’s earned the respect of other coaches and right now he can coach any team [in the world].”
