Out of contract at the end of the next season, the World Cup winner continues to delay putting pen to paper on fresh PSG terms.

Mauricio Pochettino choses to remain optimistic over Kylian Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain.

Paris Saint-Germain are involved in a seemingly never-ending negotiation with Mbappe over a contract extension, with the player’s current deal set to expire in the summer of 2022.

As per reports, the Ligue 1 champions have offered the 22-year-old – who is heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid – a new four-year deal with a considerable pay rise.

There’s plenty of appeal to wearing the famous white shirt – and Mbappe, if rumors are to be believed, is eager to become a ‘Galactico’.

The mega-talented forward supposedly has his heart set on making the switch from the French capital to the Spanish capital, but the PSG boss retains hope that he will stay put.

“I am an optimist, and I hope that the best players at the club, in this case Kylian, will stay here,” Pochettino told Canal+, via Goal.
