The Ligue One leaders will play without the service of their top-scorer against Lille.
PSG will play against Lille in their next league game on Friday. The Parisians hope to increase their lead at the top of the league table by securing a victory against the reigning champions. However, they might have to play without the services of two of their key attackers.
On Thursday, the French giants announced that Kylian Mbappe is out of the game due to an ear infection.
“Kylian Mbappe is continuing his treatment for his infection and will resume training early next week.” the announcement reads.
Lionel Messi is also a doubt for the upcoming game, with Mauricio Pochettino confirming his injury in a pre-match press conference.
“Messi has discomfort and has trained individually today. A point will be made tomorrow on his participation against Lille.” the Argentine manager told reporters.
Pochettino went on to provide an update on Sergio Ramos’ fitness, who has been out of action for months due to a thigh injury.
“The evolution of Sergio Ramos’ recovery program, coordinated by the medical staff, is progressing very well. Resumption with the group may be considered in the course of next week,” the PSG manager said.
Following their match against Lille, PSG will lock horns with RB Leipzig in their next Champions League match on Wednesday. It remains to be seen whether Pochettino will have a full squad at his disposal for that game.
