Ahead of the Coupe de France semifinal vs Montpellier, Mauricio Pochettino made a revelation about Kylian Mbappe and Sergio Ramos.
Mauricio Pochettino has a clear plan for next season in terms of Kylian Mbappe but he won’t say anything about Ramos. In recent weeks, there has been some important activity on the defender’s behalf as rumors about his Real Madrid exit continue to spread. He started following every single PSG player on Instagram and applauded Neymar’s contract extension at the club in public.
This was regarded as a definite declaration of his intentions at the Spanish club: Sergio Ramos is leaving at the end of the season. Amid all the rumors, Mauricio Pochettino was recently asked about this and also about Kylian Mbappe’s future. The Spanish press is convinced that the French forward will be part of a trade with Real Madrid for Sergio Ramos. However, Pochettino denied Kylian will leave the club. Also, he refused to respond any questions about Ramos in order to prevent more rumors.
Pochettino reveals his plans for next season.
Ahead of PSG’s semifinal against Montpellier, Mauricio Pochettino spoke with the press about several topics. The main subject was Mbappe and Ramos’ futures though, but Pochettino was clear about his wishes as per Marca: “Losing Kylian isn’t being considered. He’s one of the best players at this club. He’s in my plans, he’s in the club’s plans and we hope that we can stay for many years.
“I’m not going to answer that question about Ramos because anything I say will be misinterpreted and taken out of context. I don’t want to create a counter-productive situation for my club. We’re talking about a player from another club here. What I can tell you is that I will always work to improve all the position [of our team], but we’re focusing on the end of the season for now.”
