As he makes the rounds with the Spanish press, Mauricio Pochettino revealed an update on Kylian Mbappe’s future as a PSG player.

Kylian Mbappe’s future gave us a new update when the player spoke about it last week, but Mauricio Pochettino offered a fresh update. The French forward is beginning to look more like he wants to remain at the French club. With several rumors linking players like Messi or Ramos to the French club, Mbappe isn’t stupid enough to leave right now. He can see the trend that has been steadily growing in recent years.

Spanish football is no longer what it was, and Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival might be key for his final decision. The Argentine manager is still confident that Mbappe will make the right decision in his view. An idea to make an attacking trio with him, Neymar, and Messi is looking more likely by the minute. Poch recently made the rounds in the Spanish press to talk about this topic.

Pochettino hopes Mbappe will stay.

In one of these interviews with Marca, this is what Pochettino had to say: “Who doesn’t love Kylian, we say to each other. He makes himself loved, with his smile, his face and his energy. At the age of 19 he was a world champion [with France], impressive things have happened to him, but he is special and different, with a lot of emotional intelligence. He has a lot of potential to develop but he is already [someone for the] present, not just the future.

“It’s a challenge and a good thing to work with this kind of talent, it makes you a better coach. You give this type of player a solution and he gives you five back…. There are a lot of rumours, but I think he will be at PSG for many years to come, and that’s the club’s hope. We are counting on him for as long as we are here. It’s true that he has to make a decision [on his future], but he seems happy and very committed to this project.”
