Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo had nothing but kind words to share about Cristiano Ronaldo on his 36th birthday.

Today is a special day for all of CR7’s supporters. Cristiano Ronaldo turns 36 this Friday and he has received a lot of love from friends, family, and fans. Naturally, his manager had to say a few words about his star player as well. It seems that Pirlo and Ronaldo’s fans share the same opinion: the Portuguese forward is an absolute machine and his age isn’t slowing him down at all.

“I already knew that he’s an incredible professional, but after coaching him every day, I was surprised to see his passion and the way he still enjoys himself as a footballer. It’s the main thing when you’ve won everything and broken every record, it means you’re a hero. Like Buffon, Bonucci, Chiellini, etc,” said Pirlo.

Ronaldo and his teammates will face Roma this Saturday afternoon.

After praising the birthday boy, Andrea Pirlo offered his opinion on AS Roma and the struggles Juventus might face against them.

“It will be a match against a team that, in my opinion, plays some of the best football in Italy,” he added. “They have great players, and we will have to be focused on the counters. We have to make few mistakes.”

Additionally, the Juventus manager was asked about Paulo Fonseca’s situation at Roma and his falling out with Edin Dzeko, who was removed from the club captain role. However, Pirlo isn’t bothered by it since he believes it will have no effect on Saturday’s fixture.

“If he doesn’t play Dzeko, he will play [Borja] Mayoral. He is doing very well. Dzeko is a great player, but Roma play well with both of them.”
