Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo will take no glances at the fixture list as he expects a tough season for his side throughout the season.

Andrea Pirlo is already looking forward to his first outing on the pitch as Bianconeri boss.

Earlier today, the fixture list for the 2020/21 Serie A season was released ahead of a new campaign. All things going well, the new season kick-starts on the 20th of September and should be concluded on the 23rd of May, 2021.

Ahead of the official fixture list, Pirlo had already predicted Juve will face one of the teams from Genoa on opening day. Luckily or not, he got that right and the reigning champions will take on Sampdoria in Turin for their opening day clash.

After the opener, Juve have themselves what could be a tricky next two games. The following weekend will see the champions travel to Roma before another home game against Napoli the following weekend.

Rather than look at the fixture list ahead, Pirlo wants to take the same serious approach to all games.

The Juve boss spoke just after the fixture list was released and expects nothing less than a tough test in all their 38 games of the season.

“Finally, today we know where we will start the championship,” Pirlo told the club’s official social channel.

“With my staff we had hypothesised the first match against one of the two Genoa teams, and we will in fact face Sampdoria at home.”

“We hope we can have fans in the stands because we will need them. Analysing further is useless, because we have to face all of them in a tough Serie A, from start to finish.”

Asides the huge task of defending the Serie A title, Pirlo wants to bring back an attractive and attacking style of play back to Turin.
