Pogba wants to overtake Ronaldo as the club’s top earner.

Paul Pogba has been negotiating with Manchester United over a new contract for the past few months.

The club is struggling to reach an agreement, and Pogba’s newest demand will not help the process.

According to L’Equipe, the 28-year-old wants to break all the salary records of the Premier League to renew his deal. The Frenchman reportedly demands more than £500,000 per week, which is Cristiano Ronaldo’s current salary.

Pogba returned to France for international duty this week. However, he suffered an injury that might complicate the contract talks even further.

According to Mirror, Manchester United officials want to clarify Pogba’s situation before January. After the transfer window, the midfielder can negotiate with other clubs, a condition that Man United are eager to avoid.

Several French sources claim Pogba is still keen to stay at Old Trafford despite the recent injury setback. However, his salary demands will force the club to rethink their priorities in the squad.
