The pundit gave his final score predictions for the upcoming Champions League and Europa Conference League finals.

The Europa Conference League and Champions League finals begin this week.

In the buildup to the deciders, Paul Merson has made his latest predictions on SportsKeeda, backing English sides West Ham United and Manchester City to topple Italian clubs Fiorentina and Inter Milan respectively.

Fiorentina vs West Ham – Europa Conference League Final

Fiorentina face West Ham United in the Europa Conference League final in Prague on Wednesday. This match marks a historic moment for West Ham. It will be the club’s first European final in almost 50 years, can they cap it off with a trophy?

Paul Merson Prediction: Fiorentina 1-2 West Ham

“I think whoever scores the first goal wins this game,” Merson predicted.

“This is a huge game, and both teams will be nervous,” he added.

“It comes down to whoever handles the nerves better. You’re up against players you’ve never played against, and it does take time to work them out. It only takes one lapse to fall behind. If both teams play at their best, I think West Ham have the upper hand, and I’m going to back them to win this game.”

Manchester City vs Inter Milan – Champions League Final

Manchester City are on the brink of history, having already won the Premier League and FA Cup this season. The only thing left to complete a historic treble is the upcoming UCL final in Istanbul on Saturday. Standing in their way is the Italian side Inter.

Paul Merson Prediction: Manchester City 3-1 Inter Milan

“I think there will be goals in this game,” Merson posted.

“They [Inter] have a better midfield than people give them credit for and if they can find five or six passes, they’ll be away.

“You’ve got to remember that Man City didn’t just win against Real Madrid – they dominated. They blew them away, and the game was almost cringeworthy. They’ve always had two games to get the job done, however, and this is a big, one-off football match. Before they won the second leg, Man City were held to a draw.”

“The only thing that could trip Man City up is nerves, in my opinion. If Manchester City play well on Saturday, they’ll win the treble.”
