Mesut Ozil answered several fan questions on Twitter, who asked him about his controversial situation at Arsenal.

When Ozil joined the North London club on a transfer deal from Real Madrid back in 2013, he was considered as one of the best midfielders in the world. Under Wenger’s wing, the player became a key component of Arsenal’s squad. In fact, Ozil was named the club’s player of the season just four years ago.

However, the German midfielder went from hero to zero at Arsenal. Mesut Ozil is yet to make his debut for the Gunners this season. The club is having a terrible season in the Premier League, as talks of relegation have already been brought up. Therefore, it is natural that several football entities have urged Arteta to make room for Ozil in his squad.

The former World Cup winner decided to interact with fans on social media to clarify some doubts they could have. Ozil began by talking about how he considered former manager Wenger as his father figure. Moreover, the player confessed that many people at Arsenal miss the French legend.

Additionally, a fan asked Ozil if he was happy at Arsenal. The German midfielder replied that both he and the club needed to stay positive.

“It’s a very difficult time for everyone around the club – not just for me. The situation is frustrating for everyone. Of course I would wish I could help the team especially right now, but as long as I don’t get the chance I just hope that we get better results very soon again.”

Finally, Mesut must have delighted fans as he responded on his chances of ever joining Mourinho’s Tottenham side.
