We’ve lost count on the times Ousmane Dembele arrives late at FC Barcelona’s training sessions, he did it again on Monday.
Ousmane Dembele might be one of the most talented players at FC Barcelona but he is extremely undisciplined. The French forward has done several things that make him one of the most unstable footballers at the Catalan club. From getting injured on a regular basis to always being distracted. However, the biggest issue that Dembele has to face on a daily basis is tardiness.
This kid doesn’t have a full grasp of how coming in late affects him as a professional. He’s arrived late to practice and matches several times already with different couches. This time around, Ousmane came 15 minutes late to Monday’s practice under Ronald Koeman. The Dutch manager has a different approach when compared to the other coaches before him.
In fact, Koeman fully understands FC Barcelona because he was one of the club’s biggest stars during the ‘90s decade. No player can tell him how the club works and we will have to wait to see how he reacts to Dembele’s most recent incident.
It’s not Dembele’s first time late to practice.
Out of all the other times he’s been late to practice or games, the most recent one happened on September 11. Dembele came 13 minutes late to practice but he was lucky because Nelson Semedo arrived six minutes later than he did. The problem here is not as bad as it was during the 2018/19 season for the French player.
During that year, there was a time when Dembele fell asleep and didn’t even make it to practice. The club studied a hefty sanction for the player but they understand he doesn’t have ill intentions against anybody. But the problem with today’s incident is that Ronald Koeman is not as lenient as other managers before him.
Dembele will start having some serious problems if he doesn’t grow up already and starts taking his career seriously. We will keep you posted on what Ronald Koeman decides to do with the player.
