The Nigerian striker decided to stay at Napoli despite interest from a host of elite clubs this summer.

Chelsea are reportedly planning to sign Victor Osimhen next summer.

The Blues sent Romelu Lukaku back to Inter after his disastrous return to Stamford Bridge last season.

Searching for a new striker, Chelsea then added Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to their ranks on the final day of the summer transfer window. The 33-year-old, however, is not Chelsea’s long-term solution for the position.

According to 90min, Graham Potter is planning to sign Osimhen from Napoli next summer.

Chelsea will reportedly try to sell Lukaku back to Inter, investing in Osimhen as their new striker.

The Nigerian has started the new season with brilliant form, scoring four goals in eight matches for the Serie A giants. A move to Chelsea could provide him with a chance to continue his career at a top club.

Osimhen has shown interest in leaving Napoli before, but he’s not the only player on Chelsea’s watch list. Lille’s Jonathan David has shown great form both at the club and international level, preparing to play for Canada in the World Cup.

Another option is Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, but Juventus is unlikely to allow his exit next summer.
