Utilizing their newly-found winning momentum, the Gunners gained derby bragging rights on Sunday.

Arsenal beat Tottenham 3-1, leaving Mikel Arteta with “one of the nicest feelings” he has experienced at the Emirates.

Menacing going forward and solid at the back, Arsenal were simply the better side for the majority of the 90 minutes against Tottenham.

The Gunners grabbed a three-goal advantage in only the first half. They slowed down a bit in the second period, allowing Spurs to pull one back late in the game, but it was a pretty dominant display overall from a team that appears to have put their troubles well in the past.

“It was one of the nicest feelings that I had certainly in this stadium,” Arteta told at his post-match press conference (via Football London).

“It was a big occasion for us, a big game, to win it the way we did and to feel that connection. It made it really special.”

“Thank you for creating this incredible environment for the team,” responded the Spanish manager when asked about his message for the Arsenal supporters who attended the match.

“This win is for them. Enjoy it tonight.”
