The Cameroon international made another disappointing display for the Red Devils in UCL.

Andre Onana has conceded more goals than any other goalkeeper in the Champions League. The Manchester United goalkeeper conceded three more goals as the Red Devils were held to a 3-3 draw against Galatasaray on Wednesday.

Erik ten Hag’s men were 2-0 ahead when Hakim Ziyech’s free-kick went right past a surprised Onana in the 29th minute.

United managed to double their lead again in the second half but another awful blunder from Onana brought the hosts back into the game. This time, the goalkeeper’s poor reaction sent Ziyech’s powerful free-kick into the back of the net.

Galatasaray then scored their equalizer through Muhammed Kerem Aktürkoğlu in the 71st minute. It was Onana’s 14th conceded goal in the UCL this season, the worst defensive record so far in the competition.

The Cameroonian star’s situation in the Premier League is not significantly better. Since replacing David de Gea as United’s No.1 goalkeeper, Onana has made 13 league appearances, conceding 16 goals.

Onana’s performance against Galatasaray has triggered widespread criticism from United fans and pundits. Reacting to Ziyech’s second goal and Onana’s reaction, Robbie Savage said on TNT Sports: “Well, there is one in the wall, has he deceived the goalkeeper?

“But, the goalkeeper, I think it has bounced just in front of him and he has tried to push it out. That was terrible goalkeeping, two errors for me.

“Is he anticipating a touch off his own player? He is waiting, and waiting… oh it is a bad error.”
